Ideas · Feature requests · Community

The idea board.

What's on the list, where feature requests go, and a form to add your own. Suggestions are free and read by a human.

On the list

Ideas I mean to build or write up. On the list means wanted, not promised, and not scheduled.

The post that aged in twelve days

A follow-up to the agent-cost post. DeepSeek changed its prices and its models in the same week, and re-running the whole comparison under the new billing is the story.

  • ToolsNot written up yet

TransForge: a local model translates this site

How the seven translations of this site get made on a local model, why only pages that actually changed get re-translated, and why a hand fix is never overwritten.

The short list is short on purpose. Most of the queue is whatever people send in.

Feature requests

Five of the tools on this site are open source. Bugs and feature requests for those go on GitHub. Please don't paste API keys, passwords or your home address into a public issue.

How suggestions get read

Everything sent through the form below arrives in my inbox as a plain email. The form doesn’t keep a copy of your message on the server, there’s no account, and there’s no mailing list. Your address is only there so I can reply. The privacy policy has the rest.

I read all of it and I reply to all of it, including to say no. Not always quickly: the day job comes first.

How they get picked

  • Free ideas go in the queue. No strings, and no date promised.
  • Sponsored ideas get scheduled instead of queued. That’s the collaborate page, and scheduling is the only thing money changes.
  • What I won’t build: weapons or anything meant to hurt or track a person, anything illegal, anything that rips off someone else’s work, and anything that needs a sponsorship hidden.
  • Laser ideas are especially welcome. The AI section has been hogging the bench.

Bugs and feature requests for the five open-source projects are the exception. They go on GitHub, where the code is, and where the next person with the same problem can find them.

Suggest an idea

Free, and no strings. Laser, AI, software, hardware, or something nobody's asked for yet.

Free. Want to pay for it to be built? That's the sponsor form.

Rather email? Lloyd@LaserLloyd.com works just as well. Paying for a build or hiring me is on the collaborate page.
